Dear Next Year's Teacher,
I think that the idea of a digital portfolio was a good one, but there needs to be a few adjustments made in the future. These include, giving more class time to work on them and considering the people that don't have the ability to do them when they are at home. As we go throughout the year, there should be days set aside to go to the computer labs. These days should come after you have given us a few assignments that we can add to our portfolios. We should also be notified two of three weeks ahead of time, about what exactly you are expecting to be on this portfolio, so that we don't have to cram everything into the last week.
I would expect that next year's class would be similar to this year's class, but just to a higher degree. This summer I plan on reading a few independent books to keep myself on task. Hopefully, next year will be more unique in that it will be an American Studies class instead of just English. I would also expect to read at least as many books as we did this year, if not more. I am looking forward to the creativity of next year in combining the history and English. It shall also be interesting to see the different types of literature that we read and if I will be exposed to anything unfamiliar.
I am looking forward to a great experience next year and hope that you are the same. I will do everything in my power to succeed and pull through once again as an honors student.
Sincerely,
Amanda Marsilio
